“The International Year of Quantum: A Celebration” presentation occurred during the General Session & Plenary at Quantum World Congress 2024 featuring: Yanne Chembo (University of Maryland and IYQ Delegation)

Yanne K. Chembo received a Ph.D. in nonlinear dynamics from the University of Yaounde I, Cameroon (2001-2005), and a Ph.D. in photonics from the University of the Balearic Islands, Palma de Mallorca, Spain (2002-2006). He has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France (2007-2009), and at the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Lab in California (2009-2010). He was a Research Director for the CNRS in France before joining the University of Maryland in 2019, where is currently Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Director of the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics (IREAP). He is a Fellow of SPIE, OPTICA and APS.
