ABOUT
bringing a quantum-ready future into focus
Life-saving medicines. Precision weather forecasts. Optimized supply chains. Climate change solutions. What once seemed like science fiction will soon be possible thanks to quantum technology. In 2022 and 2023, Quantum World Congress and its global audience brought this future into focus and further established the Greater Washington region as a go-to destination and meeting place for quantum technology visionaries, policymakers, researchers, business and investment leaders, and students. And right now, we’re gearing up for 2024.
Quantum World Congress is the first-of-its-kind global quantum conference, exposition, and network series and attracts a cross-sector, multi-disciplinary audience. It showcases major trends in quantum solutions, research, education, workforce, thought leadership, policy, business, and investment.
In 2023, the event took place September 26-28 at Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA. We welcomed delegations from 22 countries and over 800 registered attendees for nearly 20 plenary and general sessions and 50 breakout sessions across five tracks: global cooperation, industry advancements, market acceleration, government and security, and innovation ecosystem. Programming included key sessions such as the International Forum that featured 90 delegates from around the world discussing global collaboration; the second annual Quantum Startup Pitch Competition with five finalists pitching solutions for the defense and national security sector competing for a $25,000 cash prize; and workshops for Life Science and Healthcare, Policy and Ethics, and Quantum Domain advancements. Key parallel events included the 2023 International VIP dinner hosted by Ambassador Birgitta Tazelaar of the Netherlands, a Data Centers for the Future event, and receptions at partner embassies.
