Ushering in an Era of Quantum and AI for Science (Quantum World Congress 2024)

“Ushering in an Era of Quantum and AI for Science” panel occurred during the Global Collaboration breakout track at Quantum World Congress 2024, featuring:

Microsoft: Dr. Krysta Svore & Dr. Charles Tahan

Quantinuum: Rajeeb Hazra & Dr. Chris Langer

Moderated by Dr. Bob Sutor, Vice President, The Futurum Group

Quantum computers can help us tackle some of the toughest problems that classical computers would take too long to solve. To realize this promise, we need to improve the fidelity and scale of quantum machines to enable longer, more reliable computations using error corrected, resilient logical qubits from a sea of noisy physical qubits. Combining these logical qubits with AI will unlock hybrid applications that can accelerate scientific discovery in areas like chemistry, biochemistry, and materials science. In this panel, you’ll hear how Microsoft and Quantinuum demonstrated the most reliable logical qubits on record, how they are making progress towards scaled fault-tolerant quantum supercomputing to enable a new era of hybrid applications, and learn what you can do today to participate in the broader quantum ecosystem.
