WORKSHOP: QUantum & Sustainability

This dynamic 2-hour workshop will focus on the potential of quantum technologies in advancing sustainable development.

This dynamic 2-hour workshop will focus on the potential of quantum technologies in advancing sustainable development. Various initiatives worldwide currently aim to apply quantum technologies for sustainability-related issues: Open Quantum Institute, IBM Quantum Working Group on Sustainability, Quantum Energy Initiative, Q4Climate, and Quantum Policy & Ethics Center, among others. International collaboration between interested parties is necessary to achieve quantum solutions in a reasonable timeframe. This workshop aims to gather these initiatives, and other interested participants, to create a general framework for collaboration between projects in this domain, facilitate dialogue among participants, and determine best collaboration practices.
