DOMAINS WORKSHOP: Quantum systems – interconnecting sensors, computers, and communications infrastructure
This workshop will focus on Quantum Systems, encompassing talks on interconnecting sensors, computers, and communications infrastructure. The following discussion on the three topics; Security; Quantum Computing; and Infrastructural Interoperability, Standards & Transition Pathways will generate actionable recommendations and priorities.
This insightful workshop will focus on the forefront of quantum technology, where we explore the integration of distributed quantum computing hardware using fiber optics, advanced sensing methods for signal distribution, and the development of robust network infrastructures. Delve into the advantages and limitations of novel communication tactics like quantum key distribution, including its high degree of security but point-to-point communication constraints. This workshop will generate actionable recommendations for government funding and research priorities, featuring expert speakers and an interactive design thinking session.
